It combines bouncy pasta with all the fixings of a crumbled-up classic cheeseburger for a melting pot of yum we know everyone will enjoy! Oh, say can you see? That the All-American Bake is the perfect choice for your next party... and we hope you agree!
Ingredients
- For the bake:
- 2 cups rotini pasta, uncooked
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, not diluted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can petite diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated, divided
- Optional garnishes:
- green onions, to taste, sliced
- dill pickles, to taste, chopped or sliced
- fresh parsley, to taste, chopped
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 3 -Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water to al dente, according to the package directions. Drain.
Step 4 -While the pasta cooks, cook and crumble the beef, the onion, and the garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.
Step 5 -Stir the condensed soup, the milk, the tomatoes, the pickle relish, the mustard, the ketchup, the Worcestershire sauce, the salt, the pepper, 1 cup of the cheese, and the cooked pasta into the beef mixture.
Step 6 -Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Step 7 -Bake the casserole until the cheese is melted and the casserole is heated through, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 8 -Garnish the casserole with the sliced green onions, the dill pickles, and the fresh parsley.
Step 9 -Serve.
