Making a brisket doesn't have to be overwhelming. Beginners Brisket allows you to enjoy the tender, juicy beef with its complexity of flavors without the fuss. In a tangy, sweet, herbaceous sauce, Beginners Brisket is flavorful and as easy to make as it is to enjoy! Make sure you have plenty of sides to enjoy alongside this magnificent main course.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3-4 pounds chuck roast or beef brisket
- 1 large white onions, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Use aluminum foil to line a walled roasting pan and coat it very lightly with the olive oil.
Step 3 -Place the meat in the pan.
Step 4 -Combine the onions, ketchup, dry onion soup, and water together in a bowl and mix.
Step 5 -Pour the mixture over the beef.
Step 6 -Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil.
Step 7 -Bake until the beef reaches an internal temperature reaches 165-170 degrees F, about 2 hours 45 minutes-3 hours 15 minutes.
Step 8 -Remove from the oven and let it rest, covered, for 10 minutes.
Step 9 -Slice and serve.
