Ingredients

1 orange wedge
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon, plus more, to taste
1 tablespoon sugar
ice, to taste
3 tablespoons apple butter
2 ounces bourbon
4 ounces chilled ginger ale, can substitute ginger beer
fresh figs, optional, to taste, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Rim your intended serving glass with the orange wedge.

Step 2 -Stir together 1/2 tablespoon of the cinnamon and the sugar on a plate large enough to accommodate the rim of the glass. Dip the rim in the cinnamon-sugar.

Step 3 -Fill a shaker with the ice.

Step 4 -Add the apple butter, the bourbon, and the extra cinnamon to the shaker and shake well for 30 seconds.

Step 5 -Strain the bourbon mixture into the prepared serving glass.

Step 6 -Fill the glass with the ginger ale.

Step 7 -Serve garnished with the sliced figs.
