Are you ready for it?! Ready for what you ask?! The amazing and wonderful Glaze-of-Glory Meatloaf, of course! This chunk of meat really brings the glaze! It's got everything you want in a moist and juicy loaf, but goodness gracious! That sweet and tangy glaze that's poured all over the top will make you go crazy in the best of ways. It's the missing piece of the already delicious main dish. Go ahead! We know you can't wait to dig into a slice of this Glaze-of-Glory Meatloaf!
Ingredients
- For the meatloaf:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- For the glaze:
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the ground beef, the onion, the eggs, the garlic cloves, 3 tablespoons of the ketchup, the parsley, the breadcrumbs, the milk, 1 1/2 teaspoons of the salt, the Italian seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon of the ground black pepper, and the paprika and mix well to combine.
Step 4 -Add the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan and gently press it down and evenly shape it into a loaf.
Step 5 -Bake the meatloaf for 40 minutes.
Step 6 -In a small bowl, mix the remaining ketchup, the white vinegar, the brown sugar, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the remaining black pepper, and the remaining salt together.
Step 7 -Spread the glaze over the meatloaf and bake until its internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 8 -Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes.
Step 9 -Slice the meatloaf.
Step 10 -Serve the meatloaf drizzled with the juices from the baking pan.
