  • kosher salt, to taste
  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, freshly grated, plus more for sprinkling
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1 -In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions.

Step 2 -Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water then drain.

Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cream and butter.

Step 4 -Cook until the butter is melted and the cream is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 5 -Whisk in the parmesan and season with salt and pepper.

Step 6 -Add the cooked pasta and toss until coated in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time.

Step 7 -Garnish with the parsley and serve immediately.
