3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the cream cheese frosting:
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons 2% milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Step 3 -In a large bowl, combine the apples, the pears, the sugar, the canola oil, the raisins, the pecans, the eggs, and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla extract.

Step 4 -In a separate bowl, combine the flour, the baking soda, the cinnamon, the nutmeg, and the salt.

Step 5 -Stir the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredient mixture.

Step 6 -Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

Step 7 -Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes-1 hour.

Step 8 -Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 9 -In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, the confectioners' sugar, and the butter together until smooth.

Step 10 -Beat in the milk and the remaining vanilla extract.

Step 11 -Once the cake is completely cool, frost the cake.
