Ingredients

  • 8-10 large oranges, any variety, peeled and white membranes removed
  • 1/4 cup orange juice concentrate or triple sec, thawed if frozen
  • 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup almonds, sliced, plus more, to taste, toasted, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • mint leaves, optional, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Cut the oranges into segments or 1/4-inch slices.

Step 2 -In a glass bowl or on a large platter, overlap 1/2 of the orange segments in one layer.

Step 3 -Drizzle the orange segments with the orange juice concentrate.

Step 4 -Sprinkle the orange segments with the coconut, 1/2 cup of the almonds, and 1/2 of the confectioners' sugar.

Step 5 -Add the remaining orange segments to the bowl in a single layer.

Step 6 -Sprinkle the orange segments with the remaining confectioners' sugar.

Step 7 -Refrigerate the dessert until chilled, about 3 hours.

Step 8 -Serve in individual serving glasses or jars and garnish with the extra toasted almonds and the mint leaves.
