If you're looking for a quick and easy way to make sure you have some protein, Perfectly Poached Chicken is the way to go. You literally just place some chicken in some water (or broth), add a little salt, and then simmer! In less than 30 minutes, you can have some delicious Perfectly Poached Chicken that will fill you up without an inkling of stress! Short and sweet–or tasty, we should say–just like this recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 (1.5-pound) chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 quarts of water or broth
- 1 tablespoon salt
Directions
Step 1 -Place the chicken breasts in a pan.
Step 2 -Add the water or broth to the pan, ensuring the chicken is fully submerged.
Step 3 -Add the salt to the pan.
Step 4 -Bring the liquid to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Step 5 -Turn the heat to low and cover the pan.
Step 6 -Simmer the chicken mixture until an instant thermometer inserted is 165 degrees F, about 10 minutes.
Step 7 -Serve.
