Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 mild Italian sausages, casings removed
  • 8 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans pizza sauce
  • 1 (28-32-ounce) package frozen tater tots
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning, for topping

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, the sausage, and the bacon and cook, while crumbling the beef and the sausage, until they are no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4 -Add the mushrooms, the onions, the garlic, and the green pepper and cook, while stirring, until the veggies are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 5 -Add the pizza sauce and stir to combine.

Step 6 -Spread the tater tots in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 7 -Spread the pizza mixture evenly over the tater tots.

Step 8 -Bake the casserole for 40 minutes.

Step 9 -Sprinkle the top of the casserole with the pepperoni and the mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

Step 10 -Serve hot, topped with the Italian seasoning.
