Step away from the grill and into your kitchen–it's time to make some Rain or Shine Oven BBQ Ribs! Two hearty racks of ribs get generously seasoned with hints of caramel-y brown sugar and fragrant garlic. These flavorful racks then take a nice long bake in the oven to ensure every inch is tender. Sounds amazing, right? Well, it keeps going! The beloved, juicy pork gets smothered in your favorite tangy and smoky barbecue sauce, not once but twice baked to infuse every ounce of the meat with classic cookout flavor. Your mouth has to be watering by now. Come rain or shine, you can always count on the deliciousness that Rain or Shine Oven BBQ Ribs will bring!
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 3 tablespoons kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons coarse ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 racks of baby back pork ribs
- 2 cups barbecue sauce, of your choice
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
Step 2 -In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic.
Step 3 -On a cutting board, place the ribs meat side down. Peel back the skin on the back of the ribs.
Step 4 -Generously rub both sides of the ribs with the dry rub.
Step 5 -Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly with foil.
Step 6 -Bake the ribs until tender and the meat can easily come off the bone, about 2 hours.
Step 7 -Raise the oven temperature to 375 degrees F.
Step 8 -Carefully transfer the cooked ribs from the foil onto a rimmed baking sheet.
Step 9 -Thoroughly brush the ribs with 1/2 of the barbecue sauce.
Step 10 -Place the barbecue ribs back in the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 11 -Carefully transfer the cooked ribs from the oven and thoroughly brush them with the remaining barbecue sauce.
Step 12 -Cook the barbecue ribs for 15 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
