But what makes this sweet pitcher of classic lemonade so special? It's the layers of multi-colored ice cubes that create such a beautiful treat that looks like something you'd only see in your imagination! Oh, and the cute and colorful sprinkles surrounding the rim bring the actual sparkle you were longing for. Ingredients

  • For the ice cubes:
  • 3 cups water
  • pink food coloring, to taste
  • purple food coloring, to taste
  • teal food coloring, to taste
  • For the lemonade:
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 9 cups water, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • For the rim:
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • assortment of colorful sprinkles, such as pink, purple, or gold, to taste, mixed together

Directions

Step 1 -Pour 1 cup of the water each into three different measuring cups with spouts.

Step 2 -Add the pink food coloring to the first measuring cup, add the purple food coloring to the second measuring cup, and add the teal food coloring to the final measuring cup.

Step 3 -Pour each of the colored waters into separate ice cube trays.

Step 4 -Let the ice cubes freeze overnight.

Step 5 -In a medium pot over medium heat, add the sugar and 1 1/2 cups of the water and bring to a boil.

Step 6 -Transfer the sugar-water mixture from the heat and let it cool.

Step 7 -In a large pitcher, add the remaining water, the sugar-water mixture, and the lemon juice and mix well.

Step 8 -Pour the corn syrup onto a small plate.

Step 9 -Pour the sprinkles onto another small plate.

Step 10 -Dip the rims of the drinking glasses into the corn syrup until they are lightly coated.

Step 11 -Dip the coated rims in the sprinkles until they are completely covered.

Step 12 -Alternate adding some of the pink ice cubes, some of the purple ice cubes, and some of the teal ice cubes into each of the glasses until they are full.

Step 13 -Pour the lemonade over the colorful ice cubes.

Step 14 -Serve.
