Green beans are a great platform for other amazing flavors: the crisp, bright, lightly-sweet beans pair well with other classics. That's what Yummy Roasted Green Beans are all about: topped with fragrant garlic, sharp parmesan, and creamy mozzarella, Yummy Roasted Green Beans are ready to impress from the very first bite!
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more, to taste
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 -Place the green beans on a large sheet pan.
Step 3 -Add the oil and the salt to the green beans.
Step 4 -Bake the green beans, tossing halfway through, until the beans are crisp-tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 5 -Preheat the broiler.
Step 6 -Sprinkle the green beans with the garlic and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper and toss to coat.
Step 7 - Top the green beans with the parmesan and the mozzarella.
Step 8 -Broil the green beans, watching closely, until the cheese is melted and golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 9 -Season the green beans with the extra pepper.
Step 10 -Serve.
